Common questions
How do I restore my purchases?
Open Settings in the game and tap Restore Purchases under Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used to buy. The Polar Pass and the Season Pass restore on every iPhone you own. Fish packs are consumable and are not restored.
A purchase went through but I did not get it.
Close the game fully and open it again with an internet connection, then tap Restore Purchases. If it is still missing, Apple handles payments and refunds: visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Will I lose my progress if I delete the app?
Yes. Progress is saved only on your iPhone, with no account and no cloud copy, so deleting the app deletes it. Purchases are safe: restore them after reinstalling.
A friend challenge link does not open.
Install Polar Slide first, then tap the link again. If the game says the link is broken, part of it got lost when it was copied: ask your friend to send it again with the Challenge button on the results screen. If it says Different version, you both need the latest update from the App Store.
How do I save or share a highlight video?
After a race, the results screen offers your highlight video. Tap Save to keep it in Photos or Share to send it. The first time you save, iOS asks to let Polar Slide add videos to Photos. If you said no, turn it on in the iPhone Settings app, under Privacy & Security, Photos, Polar Slide.
The game feels slow or my iPhone gets warm.
In Settings, set Graphics to Smooth. It keeps a steady frame rate with lighter snow spray, no sun shadows and smaller textures (the texture change applies the next time you open the game). Low Power Mode can also lower the frame rate.
Can I steer by tilting?
Yes. Turn on Tilt to steer in Settings, under Controls. By default you steer by dragging anywhere on the screen.
How do I change my player name?
Open Settings and tap Name. Names you type stay on your iPhone; challenge links only carry the game's ready-made names.
Is there sound and haptics control?
Yes. Sound & Music and Haptics each have a switch in Settings, under Feel.
